Baby Be Safe Infant, Child, and Adult CPR Training [Non-Certification] (In-Person at The Wild)

Register Below!

American Heart Association Friends and Family CPR non-certification course will teach the basic CPR skills for infant/child and adult.

You will also learn how to handle choking emergencies.  If you're a parent, grandparent, or caregiver/nanny, baby proofing tips are essential. We always teach how to properly call the 911 system and we will advise you of what phone numbers to have in emergencies as well as what to have in your first aid kit. You will also learn prevention and treatment of common first aid emergencies.

Changes due to COVID - You will receive hands on practice on our infant/child mannequins; however, we are no longer doing rescue breathing on the mannequins.  We are limiting the amount of participants per class 8 people total (4 couples). Masks will be worn during the class even if you are vaccinated. All of our instructors are vaccinated.

About the Instructor and Company:

Amelia Hazel - Owner, Baby Be Safe

Amelia retired as a NYS Certified Paramedic. She has an extensive background in Pre-Hospital Emergency Care. She graduated from the St. Vincent's Medical Center Paramedic Program in New York City where she worked for several years responding to 911 emergencies. Her paramedic career also took her to Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY as well as to Staten Island University Hospital in Staten Island, NY.

Her career in Pre-Hospital Emergency Care started as a volunteer with the Bay Ridge Ambulance Volunteer Organization (BRAVO) where she served as a crew member on the ambulance as a certified NYS Emergency Medical Technician. She also served as Training Officer for the organization.

Amelia was a NYS Emergency Medical Technician Senior Instructor for SIEMT, a training program located on Staten Island, NY. She was awarded Instructor of the Year while serving in this capacity.

Amelia is a certified American Heart Association CPR/AED/First Aid Instructor. She provides training at the Basic Life Support (BLS) level as well as Pediatric and Infant.

Baby Be Safe has grown into a business that not only teaches infant/child CPR, but also teaches Adult CPR with Automatic External Defibrillator (AED), BLS for health care providers and an array of First Aid classes. All Baby Be Safe Instructors are trained and certified under American Heart Association (AHA) and some are also trained in Emergency Care and Safety Institute (ECSI). We all share the passion of teaching how to save a life!
