We welcome anyone with a commitment to community and compassion for new families, children, and birthing people.
This is a great opportunity for birth professionals (doulas, nursing and midwifery students, etc) and those with retail love and experience looking for work that makes a difference.
We look for someone who works well as part of a team, is proactive, is a confident communicator and ready to jump in and help out wherever needed daily.
Given the nature of our business, we work with many new families at a vulnerable, exciting and sometimes difficult time in their lives. It is a large part of our work to support those families by “holding space”. This includes listening to birth stories, helping strollers up the stairs, getting nursing pillows, chatting with toddlers and basically being a welcoming, open, and available person.
In recruiting for our team, we welcome the unique contributions that you can bring in terms of education, opinions, culture, ethnicity, race, sex, gender identity and expression, nation of origin, age, languages spoken, veteran’s status, color, religion, disability, sexual orientation and beliefs. At The Wild, just as we value inclusivity in our team, we strive to reflect inclusivity in our interactions with our community. It is of highest importance to us that The Wild is a safe and welcoming space for all family structures, and that every customer feels like a valued part of our community.
The Wild offers a caring, fun, and supportive work environment, advancement and growth opportunities, training in baby-wearing, and other birth-related fields.
